As much as I hate to admit it, it’s about that time again—time to start trading our flip-flops in for fuzzy socks, our fedoras for earmuffs and our sunglasses for a shovel. But have you thought about how you’re going to change your hair routine? If not, you probably should, especially if you live in regions where the temperature drops to numbers we much rather not say out loud.

There are a number of ways that the winter can affect our hair negatively. Dryness, static and lack of body are just a few of the characteristics that many people complain about. But why? There are a variety of reasons as to why our hair goes through PMS during these ridiculously cold months, but the good news is that we can avoid winter hair blues by changing a few things in our normal hair routine.
